DEPED ORDER NO. 55, SERIES OF 2016 The Policy Guidelines on National Assessment of Student Learning for the K-12 Basic Education Program The Department of Education (DepEd) is adopting the enclosed Policy Guidelines on National Assessment of Student Learning for the K-12 Basic Education Program.
In accordance with this DepEd order, assessment is the process of measuring learner' s progress in the attainment of learning standards and 21st century skills. The results of the various forms of assessment shall be used to quantify judgment's on learner's academic performance. The national assessment of student learning is an integral part of DepEd's assessment framework.
It aims to: monitor the Phil. Education system and schools for public accountability, assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the deliver of education services and etc. The DepEd Order No. 55, Series of 2016 covers the target clientele, purpose, design, test administration procedures and utilization of the results of each assessment.
In the school year, 2016-2017, it is effective that the Policy Guidelines on National of K-12 Basic Education Program shall be implemented in public and private elementary and secondary schools nationwide.
